My name is Michelle, and this little corner of the internet is where I share my love for America’s small towns, timeless stories, and the heritage that connects us to generations past.. 

I’ve always believed there is something special about small-town America.  The familiar faces along Main Street, the little cafes where neighbors gather for morning coffee, the old churches that have welcomed generations of families, and the antique shops filled with treasures that once belonged to someone else.  These are places where stories live, traditions are remembered, and the ordinary things in life often hold the greatest meaning.

I’ve long been drawn to the things that connect us to the past.  Old family recipes written in familiar handwriting, well loved books with worn pages, treasured belongings passed from one generation to the next, and the stories of those who came before us.  I believe our heritage is more than simply remembering where we came from.  It is part of the foundation upon which we build our lives, sharing our faith, our families, our homes, and the traditions we carry forward.

Through my letters, I hope to take you long as I wander through small towns across America, discovering their histories, meeting the people who call them home, and seeking out the stories that might otherwise be forgotten.  Along the way, I’ll be sharing reflections on faith, family, hospitality, and the everyday moments that remind us what it means to live a well-lived life.

I don’t have all the answers, and I’m still learning as I go.  But I believe there is great value in sharing what we discover, what we’ve learned, and what we hope to preserve for generations to come.

I imagine you and I sitting across from each other in a little corner café sharing a cup of coffee and sharing stories of the places we came from, family history, lessons learned, and honoring those that came before us.

So pour yourself a cup of coffee or tea and make yourself at home.
