My Story

I have always loved beautiful things.  Beauty does not equate luxury and wealth.  True beauty lies within the stories that things hold.

Old books with worn pages, vintage china that once sat on someone’s table, fresh flowers from the garden, a hand written note tucked inside a book, a home that feels warm and welcoming, and a Bible with pages barely holding on to the seams.

I’ve spent most of my life collecting those kinds of treasures.

I am first and foremost a wife and mother.  Some of my greatest joys have been found around family tables, cheering on my sons, building a home, and learning how to navigate the many seasons of life that come with marriage, motherhood, work, and faith.

Over the years I’ve worked in retail, hunted for vintage treasures, started small businesses, and discovered that the greatest lessons are learned in ordinary places.

I’ve always been curious.  I love books, ideas, history, old homes, gardens, hospitality, and the stories people carry with them.

Writing became a natural extension of that curiosity.

This website is a place where all those interests come together.

Some days I write about faith as I walk and spend time with the Lord.   Other days it may be a lesson learned while tending flowers, setting a table for guests, reading a book, exploring a small town, or discovering a forgotten treasure in an antique shop.  Life rarely fits neatly into categories, and neither do I.

What you will find here is simply a collection of thoughts, stories, lessons, and things I love. I am blessed to come from a lineage of strong, inspiring, God fearing women and one of the greatest influences in my life was my grandmother, Claudia.  She taught me that a meaningful life isn’t built through grand achievements alone, but through faithfulness in the ordinary moments.

This space is my attempt to capture those moments.

I’m grateful you have stopped by and hope you will visit often.  It is truly a grace to serve you in any way I can.

 Michelle
