I am drawn to the quiet beauty of thoughtful living.

For many years, I found myself reflecting on the idea of elegance – not as appearance or luxury, but as something deeper.  I began to see that true elegance is rooted in character, formed through discipline, and sustained through faith.

Elegance, at its heart, is the quiet ordering of one’s life toward what is good, beautiful, and true.

I have always been captivated by elegance and refinement, even as a young girl.  I also have a love for fashion – not trends – but personal style, that carries the influence of history and vintage beauty.  I am drawn to the lost stories hidden in old pieces, quiet objects, and the small corners of antique shops.  Above all, I have always known and loved Jesus.  It has taken me years to find where all these loves intersect.  It was a freedom to find that Jesus was the foundation of it all and elegance, style, beauty,  and legacy actually flow from following Him.

This space is devoted to that exploration.

The Vision

Here I share essays and reflections on Elegant Living – a life shaped by faith, restraint, beauty, and thoughtful discipline.

These ideas are gathered within The Seven Principles of Elegant Living, a framework that guides the cultivation of an ordered and peaceful life.

My hope is that these reflections encourage a quieter, more intentional way of living – one that honors both faith and beauty in everyday moments in life.

A Life Refined by Christ

At its deepest level, elegant living is not merely aesthetic but spiritual.

It is a life gradually refined through grace – shaped by humility, guided by wisdom, and anchored in trust in God.

In a world often marked by haste and excess, elegance calls us back to something quieter and more enduring.

A Personal Note

The inspiration for this work is deeply personal.

Much of my appreciation for beauty, tradition, and thoughtful living was shaped by the influence of my grandmother, whose quiet grace and attention to life’s small details left a lasting impression on me.

Her example planted the seeds for what eventually became this exploration of elegant living and foundation of this work.

Journey

I hope you will join me in following the One who orders our steps and reveals a greater life than we could imagine.  Yes, we will take on the difficult work of realigning our lives, not to what society says, but to the truth set before time and we will also enjoy the moments of discussing style, home, and everyday living as they meet us where we are in our faith journey.

Elegance is moral order expressed through daily life.
